Spring 2009!

This is just the tip of the iceberg! We shot 1200 pictures at this shoot, and after editing, we still had hundreds of pictures of amazing, different outfits! This spring is shaping up to be the best ever at Fresh Collective! We have a fabulous mix of clothing, accessories and jewellery all by independent Toronto designers. We designers share the expenses and work of running the store, taking turns working a day a week in the shop. We are obsessed with our lines, busily making things in our studios all week, then bringing fresh armloads in to the shop each week. Often, you'll see our designer/members at work making new stock on our big back work table, or even on the cash desk.

With about 20 designers involved, we have a terrific range of fresh stock, and new arrivals all the time! One of my favorite days at the shop ever was when a mom and daughter came in and each found a pile of stuff to suit their own style! I find our shop is full of cute stuff that can be made "your own" by adding your own accessories! I just love being able to help someone find the perfect outfit for them- whatever their style! It's so much fun, and so satisfying to have someone fall in love with something I or one of my fellow designers at Fresh Collective made, and I'm happy to alter a piece, track down your size even if we don't have it in stock, or whip up a custom order if need be!

Sushi Fabric is Back!

Our ever-popular sushi fabric is back! We have peasant flounce dresses in super fun sushi fabric, and trimmed them in cute orange lace on the bottom! Topping off this outfit is a gorgeous loose knit cotton shrug. Both pieces by Fresh Baked Goods, of course.

This one's mine....

I seem to be saying about this terrific tote by Keri Rounding! Embroidered with her cute little creatures, this tote is big enough to hold all you need for an overnight or weekend! Come in to Fresh Collective to see Keri's newest work- her bags and tees are sure to be a favorite!

Accessories!

New bags by textile artist Keri Rounding are embroidered with her little amoeba (amoebas?) and sea creatures. This one has one of her cute felted pins on it, and goes just perfectly with this Fresh Baked Goods peasant flounce dress! Check out Keri's awesome embroidered tee shirts too, in the shop today! As always, Fresh Collective is chock full of terrific accessories, jewellery and fashions, all by Toronto's favorite indie designers.

Mandala Designs

Here's Mandy Armstrong, the designer behind Mandala Designs modeling one of her own dresses. "Modern Fashion, Vintage Vibe" is what her look is all about! Her spring 2009 line is a work in progress. We've seen some samples and they are cute as anything! I have my eye on this dress for myself, but then again, I have my eye on a heck of a lot of stuff in the shop!! Mandy is busily working on her line as we speak, and it should be arriving before March 1!

Cute knit tops!

Also a work in progress, this is the sample for a bunch of knit tops we're doing to top off all our fun and flirty skirts! We have lots of colors coming, and priced at just $82, this is a great alternative to a plain top! Sweater and skirt both from Fresh Baked Goods!

Argh! Now I want everything! Here I am posting all these cute pictures, and I realize I'm like "I want that, and that and that...." Oh well, too much fabulous fashion at my fingertips and in my shop is not really a bad problem! This is another great top by Spruce Clothing! Designer Tricia Mulhern is churning out a ton of amazing stuff for spring, and I'm so excited to get shopping... ooops I mean to get selling it! I'd be here till next fall if I tried to describe every new spring thing we have in the shop! Every time I go in there's something new! I love this top by Spruce Clothing. It's a comfy and wearable medium weight jersey fabric- almost like a terry fleece, but not sporty, except that it's that comfy! Ok, my description is a bit crazy- maybe you'll just have to come in to Fresh Collective and try it on for yourself!
