Fall into Odd Bird

The new Odd Bird Fall attire has arrived in the store!

This season Odd Bird has gone into the woods for a forest creature theme:

It's back to school for these little birdies! They are having singing lessons on a charcoal Polo/Tennis shirt style dress.

A preppy-but-yet-fun statement!

Next we have the "Foxy Topsy" which is a blazing orange U-neck (a nice change when your tired of v-necks but still want to show some cleavage!) with half-sleeves featuring a sly little Fox.

Oh this scarf is a real "hoot." It features a rather cheeky owl giving you a wink!

You're going to go "nuts" over this skirt: a little grey squirrel nibbling an acorn on a mini. These mini- skirts work well when worn over thick leggings or pants. It's California fleece on the inside which keeps you cozy on cool Fall days without being too heavy.

Paper People Summer Sale!

As much fun as summer was, I'm looking forward to new fall sweaters and that means summer discounts! I've just marked down a whole selection of summer styles to make way for fall: shirt dresses, strappy wrap dresses, sweater tanks and more are all on sale. There's still at least a month and a half of hot weather, so go take advantage of those bargains!

Despite the sort of weird rainy weather we've been having, we're all set for a great summer at Fresh Collective. We just updated our window with the theme: 'Stay cool while looking hot!' We've got breezy skirts, bold tops and fun dresses: all perfect for summer.

Another member, Odd Bird has also collaborated with Sarah Slean on a creative project!

Check out these decorated domino pendants:

Sarah doesn't just sing, she's a visual artist too! She created the lady design used on the domino on the right. While these particular pendants will not be for sale in the store, you will be able to get them via Sarah Slean's website or at concert venues on her tour.

Sarah Slean, an amazing Canadian singer/songwriter is on her Recession-ista tour. Here's a video from ETalk where she can be seen wearing a dress designed by Alyssa Rushton of Norma W. It's the super duper cute dress with the words (Je Suis....) on the front. We love it!

We're designing for the stars!

Alyssa is one of our newest members and she's not only one smart cookie and a hard worker, she's serious about her commitment to helping the environment and producing her line ethically. On top of all this, she's got a funny side, always ready for a laugh. Alyssa works at Fresh Collective on Tuesdays, and is known for her one-of-a-kind upcycled cardigans and sweaters with her crazy stitched-on appliques.

So many of our pieces are perfect with a white tee or tank, or a plain black cardigan. We have cute tops to go with jeans (yay!) and jewellery and bags for any kind of outfit.

One of our newer designers, My Brilliant Career, has this great mod inspired dress with the coolest asymmetrical zipper up the front.

Whirl Girl has some adorable dresses for spring. They come in an array of fun colours and can be worn different ways!

This dress from Candi Factory is probably one of the comfiest dresses we have in store and it even doubles as a maternity dress!

These unique wrap dresses from Paper People are made with vintage fabrics and the lace detail at the neckline is so pretty.
